The Board has recently concluded the following prosecutions:

Graham Maber was convicted of an offence under section 122 of the Plumberes, Gasfitters, and Dranilayers Act 2006 ("the Act") for holding himself out to be a registered plumber when that was not the case.  The matter was heard in the Waitakere District Court on 23 June 2011 and Mr Maber was fined $1,500 and ordered to pay court costs and solicitors' fees.

Stephen Farrow was convicted of an offence under section 123 of the Act on 5 July 2011 in the Auckland District Court.  He pleaded guilty to carrying out sanitary plumbing work when not registered or licensed as a plumber and was fined $750 and ordered to pay court costs and solicitors' fees.

Nicholas van der Vlerk was convicted of two charges under section 123 of the Act for carrying out gasfitting and drainlaying work without being registered or licensed as a gasfitter or drainlayer.  He appeared in the Taupo District Court on 14 July 2011 and was fined $3,000.
